Meet the Lender: Jennie Sovey

Philanthropy, joy, and hard work are just a few of the things that make Jennie Sovey stand out. With 15 years of customer service under her belt she is always putting her customers first. As a Mortgage Loan Officer at Lincoln Federal Savings Bank she enjoys tailoring each loan to her customers’ unique needs and turning the dream of homeownership into a reality.

Jennie enjoys spending time developing relationships with local realtors, financial advisors, insurance agents, or anyone who can assist in helping her customers make an informed financial decision. Jennie believes this focus is important so that she can gain as much knowledge as she can to guide her customers through the lending process successfully. "It's important to go to a lender you can trust, a lender that will help educate you so you can feel confident that you are making an informed financial decision, “Jennie says. "Our customers trust Lincoln Federal Savings Bank's reputation and brand, and upholding that trust is important and fulfilling to me," Jennie remarks. Recently, one of Jennie’s customers sent warm cookies and a note thanking the lending team for making her homeownership dreams come true. Jennie enjoys working at Lincoln Federal Savings Bank for a variety of reasons. Community involvement is a key element of the bank and of Jennie’s life. Working for a company who cares about their community, customers, and employees boosts morale. The bank encourages and supports its employees when it comes to volunteering and helping community organizations through Lincoln Federal Savings Bank’s Lending Hands Program. Outside of volunteering on behalf of Lincoln Federal Savings Bank, Jennie served on the Board of the YWCA of Lincoln, and has been involved with TeamMates over the past 12 years. She loves giving back to the community that has raised her, especially when it involves mentoring and developing youth in our community. Jennie believes the world would be a better place if kids have positive mentors in their lives. She is especially passionate about encouraging young girls to get involved in math and science; that’s what originally connected Jennie to the YWCA, their SMART Girls Program. Jennie grew up in Lincoln and married her high school sweetheart. They have two sons, ages 10 and 7. As a family, they love being outdoors where they enjoy hiking, kayaking, boating and camping. Their family goal is to travel to and experience all the national parks in the U.S. They've already been to about a dozen so far.

"As a mortgage loan officer, I am able to help my clients achieve their goal of owning their first home, or buying their third or fourth, which is very rewarding to me." Jennie Sovey works in the Lincoln Federal Savings Bank branch at 70th and 'O' Street in Lincoln. If you are looking to finance your next home, contact Jennie at 402-474-4200, ext. 310.
